PJQ PHOTOS
Like all departed loved ones, they died too soon.
'The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living.'
Marcus Tulius Cicero
Pat received a big send-off. The Knights of Columbus and the Fire/Police Department had an honor guard.
It was a cold dreary January day in 1966.
Father Sweeney, Pat's parish priest presided.
****** EPILOGUE ******
PATS GIFT
Almost forty years after his death, his youngest son Kevin, discovered the State of Washington had unclaimed property belonging to Pat that somehow wasn't passed to Bronie when he died. As heirs, his children were able to reclaim the property (shares of MetLife stock). It's not a fortune but a sentimental gift from Pat to his children. It gave us pause to remember how generous he was.
Anna's Story
This is a story about a girl who dreamed of coming to America., leaving behind the oppression and poverty of her homeland. This is a true story, written by her daughter Bronie, just the way she told it to her. (32 pgs)
Mike's Story
Mike Obach, 17 year-old brother of Bronie, was killed in an automobile accident. A drunk driver was charged. I searched online for his burial location to no avail. With the help of a friend we found where Mike repossess.
Paula's Story
On the back of Thomas Obach's tombstone someone had added a plaque commemorating his daughter Paula.
