Tibet June's AROUND THE WORLD TRIP
Tibet is now part of China. They overran Tibet in 1959 and the Dalai Llama escaped to India, where he now resides. The official language is Chinese but the language of this area is still Tibetan. The altitude was over 12,000 feet but my altitude meds helped me see as much as possible. I was not disappointed. Tibet is an interesting and exciting place to visit. I doubt I will ever go back, but if you have the chance it is a great experience.
